Zayed North Wings Airport, known as Kukës International Airport, is Albania's second civilian airport, named after the former president of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Construction of the airport began in May 2002, and it spans an area of approximately 65 hectares, located 3 kilometers from the city of Kukës. Classified as an international Category C airport, it is designed to accommodate up to three airplanes simultaneously. The airport is equipped with advanced airspace control systems to ensure safety and efficiency.
In this project, Vakefi Glass contributed by providing and installing 8:8:2 laminated glass, offering enhanced security and durability. These installations ensure that the airport’s structures maintain high standards of safety while delivering a sleek and modern appearance to complement its international status.
