Vakefi Glass began its journey in 1992 with humble beginnings. Officially founded and registered as Vakefi Shpk in 1995 by Shpëtim Protoduari in Berat, Albania, the company specializes in the processing and trade of safety glass, as well as the production of doors, windows, and the construction of facades for various buildings. The idea for the business was born from years of spontaneous glass trading. Recognizing the potential for this type of product in Albania, they decided to establish a more organized operation, starting with a modest 140 m² space in the heart of Berat.
This original building still stands today, untouched by renovation, serving as a powerful reminder of Vakefi’s early days and the remarkable progress the company has made under the leadership of Shpëtim Protoduari.
For nearly a decade, the company operated from this location, as well as an additional site on the outskirts of Berat. As the business grew, Vakefi relocated to a larger and more suitable facility along the Ura Vajgurore-Berat road, where it continues to thrive today. Over the past 10 years, the company has expanded further, investing in even larger and more advanced facilities. In 2018, a new factory was established in the Durrës region, equipped with state-of-the-art technology that allows for sophisticated processes and the production of high-quality glass products.

Today, Vakefi is a well-established name in the Albanian market. However, the company’s ambitions go beyond national borders, with a growing focus on exports to countries like Montenegro, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Greece, Italy, and others.
